Working as a summer associate for Musashi Auto Parts Canada in 2012 and 2013 was my first real test as a full-time employee. It was also where my love for Mechanical Engineering was established.
I learned the importance of safe, efficient physical labour in manufacturing environments. I was also highly curious about all aspects of the system processes and this led me to engage and work with the maintenance team and the tool and die workers. I gained valuable experience working with the assembly lines and maintaining the machines. It improved my knowledge of robotics, electrical and mechanical machinery.
This job was most helpful in that it provided me with a clear understanding of the realistic application of engineering designs and the social environments which create this reality.
